The seminar’s objective is to make us familiar with practical aspects of investing in India. Mr Michael Wekezer – office manager in Delhi who has been living in India for many years and supports foreign investors in all issues connected with entering Indian market – will be the main speaker.

Speakers
Anna Pilarska, Rödl & Partner
She graduated from Law Faculty at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and completed postgraduate studies (magister legum, LL.M.) in the field of German law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). She is a tax advisor, co-author of various press publications, author of the book “Polnisches Sachenrecht. Polskie prawo rzeczowe”. She gained experience while exercising due diligence and conducting tax audits, implementing complex tax projects and offering current tax advisory services to Polish and foreign Clients. Anna Pilarska is a specialist in the scope of income tax with particular focus on international law, taxes on goods and services, real estate taxes, company law and civil law.
Małgorzata Guzińska-Błońska, Rödl & Partner
She graduated from Economy Faculty at the University of Gdansk. In 2003 she became a member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). From 2009 until 2015 she was an inspector of Polish National Chamber of Statutory Auditors. She has been cooperating with Rödl & Partner since 2001. Małgorzata Guzińska-Błońska is the manager of internal audit department in the Gdańsk office, where she examines separate and consolidated financial statements (including public companies), transforms financial statements prepared in conformity with the Accountancy Act into MSSF/MSR, US GAAP or in conformity with German balance law (HGB). She specialises in consolidated financial statements.
Michael Wekezer, Rödl & Partner
Michael joined Rödl & Partner Indie in 2013 and since then he has been the director of Delhi office. After completing his studies in Hamburg, Heidelberg and Newcastle upon Tyne he obtained the title of a lawyer in Germany (“Rechtsanwalt”) and in England and Wales (“Solicitor”). For 12 years, he has been advising clients in Germany, Great Britain and India. In his current job Michael Wekezer focuses on commercial law contracts, joint venture and M&A transactions. He also provides advisory services in the scope of compliance, including regulations concerning foreign exchange law, financing of subsidiaries established in India by foreign companies, and also regarding the issues connected with entering Indian market. Michael speaks Polish, English, German, as well as Hindi at intermediate level.
Piotr Mrowiec, Rödl & Partner
Piotr Mrowiec is the head of legal-tax department of Rödl & Partner Gdańsk office. He specialises in complex legal counselling for foreign entrepreneurs and Polish entrepreneurs who invest abroad. What is more, he deals with implementing projects in the area of renewable energy. He advises clients in Polish, German and English. He is the author of many publications, for example the ones concerning the issue of renewable energy and international claims. He is a regular speaker in Poland and abroad. He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, as well as the Faculty of Law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. He is a legal advisor and mediator entered into the judicial list of mediators.
Katarzyna Matuszak, Pomerania Development Agency S.A.
The Director of Entrepreneurship Development Divison, Pomerania Development Agency S.A. She graduated from Economy Faculty at the University of Gdansk. For more than 14 years she has been developing, coordinating and implementing projects aiming at entrepreneurship development and international cooperation. She gained her knowledge of the needs and problems of small and medium companies as a consultant in Centrum Euro Info in Gdańsk, a coordinator of Centre for Entrepreneurship in Sopot at Free Entrepreneurship Association in Sopot and since 2008 she has been working in Pomerania Development Agency S.A.
