The Sii company has been awarded the title of „The best workplace in IT in Poland” third year in row. The results were announced on the basis of the AudIT study, which was conducted by the „Computerworld” weekly magazine and the TNS company. The Sii company has been awarded the title of „The best workplace in IT in Poland” third year in row. The results were announced on the basis of the AudIT study, which was conducted by the „Computerworld” weekly magazine and the TNS company. The biggest office of Sii in Poland is located at Olivia Business Centre in Gdansk.
The title is granted on the basis of an anonymous survey, which examines work satisfaction, the level of employees’ commitment and motivational factors. The study shows that Sii employees are enthusiasts, who strongly indentify with the company, believe in its future, and motivate their colleagues to work. The TRI*M index, which shows workplace satisfaction, amounts to 87 at Sii and belongs to the top results among all surveyed IT employees in Poland. This means that Sii employees generally draw satisfaction from their work. Among the aspects that received a positive rating belong for example: the surety of employment, the effectiveness of team cooperation and fairness in solving conflicts.
„It it is Sii’s third title,” says Joanna Kucharska, the Director of HR and Communication at Sii. „It is a great pleasure for us to collect this award each year. We prove that consistent actions bring long-term results. We still work for this success, we haven’t rest on laurels after our first award, and this has been appreciated by our employees. Negative opinions, which are given to us with the results of the study, are carefully analysed; that’s why we become an even better workplace.”
There are 8 offices of Sii in Poland. Sii employs over 2000 people and plans to increase employment to 2400 people this year. The office in Gdansk is Sii’s biggest office in Poland. This office’s team consists of over 550 people. The company plans to employ in Gdańsk a total number of 7000 engineers by the end of this year.
„Currently, we need to recruit people for specialist jobs. We’re searching for developers in the following fields of technology: Java, .NET, PHP, C++, Python or Embedded. Aside from this, we’re carrying out recruitment processes for the jobs of network, firmware and software testers,” says Magdalenia Misiewicz, acting Head of the Recruitment and HR Department at Sii Gdansk.
Lately, Sii has also been carrying out a dynamic expansion in the field of mechanical engineering. The Gdansk branch plans to carry out to projects for automotive, medical, agricultural mechanisation and public transport industries. The company’s goal for the next half a year is to create a specialist team consisting of people with various technical competences. During a period of 6 months, Sii will employ over 30 mechanical engineers. The Gdansk branch also develops its activity in the field of Automation and Robotics. It can pride itself on many successes, for example on starting a cooperation with a global US concern –ThyssenKrupp Systems Engineering.
