About Olivia Six:
Olivia Six – the newest building within Olivia Business Centre – was launched in May 2015. 55 m tall, it comprises above-ground 15 floors and offers nearly 18,000 sq. m of office space. The community of Residents includes Pomerania Development Agency, PwC, ThyssenKrupp, Epam Systems. Even the mid-level floors of the building afford a panoramic view of the Bay of Gdańsk, the roofs of Oliwa – one of the oldest districts of the city, as well as the nearby forests.
Designed by BJK Architekci from Gdynia, Olivia Six is one of the most interesting examples of office building architecture in Poland. To reduce the sunlight penetration into the interior, the main façades are fitted with vertical glass strips that look differently at various times of the day, depending on the angle at which light passes through them. At night, they are delicately illuminated by colour LED systems. In effect, an impression of a living façade is created. The main entrance hall reminds of a huge chessboard made of black and milk-white stone, with the commonly accessible lobby furnished in an English gentlemen’s club library style.
The building has been granted BREEAM Excellent certification. Furthermore, Olivia Six is a winner of the “Best New Office Development for SSC/BPO Sectors” title in the w CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards 2016 contest and was a nominee for Poland’s best office market development in the Property Prize 2015 competition.
