“Pomerania and Poland – together in the face of a difficult world” – Olivia invites you to the 10th Pomeranian Civic Congress

“Pomerania and Poland – together in the face of a difficult world” – this is the motto of the jubilee 10th Pomeranian Civic Congress. Olivia Business Centre, which is a partner of the event, cordially invites you to it. The meeting will take place on April 8 (Saturday) in the Main Building of the Gdańsk University of Technology, from 11.00 a.m. to 2.45 p.m. The aim is to understand where the modern world is heading in economic, cultural, technological and political terms, and what our mature Polish and Pomeranian response to these challenges should be.

The Pomeranian Civic Congress is a series of annual meetings addressed to all residents of our province, regardless of age or profession. Its aim is to build a civil society through the exchange of ideas on the most important challenges of the present day. In other words, it is a joint debate, during which participants wonder how to make Pomerania and Polish better places to work and live. The organizer of the series is the Institute for Market Economics in Gdańsk. Founded in 1989, it is an independent, non-governmental analytical and research centre, operating on the basis of the so-called civic think tank.

The 10th Pomeranian Civic Congress is an opportunity to talk about how to build a regional community in today’s times, when cultural and political divisions are growing. Let’s meet and show that in Pomerania we can talk, despite our differences, and take care of the common good.

Among the invited guests are, m.in: Prof. Cezary Obracht-Prondzyński, lecturer at the University of Gdańsk and president of the Kashubian Institute, Prof. Anna Cegieła from the Ethics of the Word Team, Prof. Michał Bilewicz from the University of Warsaw, Dr. Michał Kuź from the Centre for Analysis of the Jagiellonian Club, Maciej Grabski, President of Olivia Business Centre and Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Participation in the Congress is free of charge, registration is required.
