Nordea Bank AB Branch in Poland is one of the tenants of the newly constructed building of the Olivia Business Centre complex in Gdańsk – Olivia Star. He rented two floors, i.e. nearly 2600 sq. m. Olivia Business Centre is one of the most interesting, multifunctional office investments in the country. The Scandinavian company was supported in the transaction by Colliers International.

Nordea Bank AB Branch in Poland provides comprehensive IT solutions and financial services related to the support of the processes of the business units of the Scandinavian Nordea Group. It operates in two locations – in the Tri-City and Łódź. In addition to the offices in Gdynia at ul. Łużycka, the part of Nordea’s IT Division responsible for capital markets services operates in Olivia Business Centre in Gdańsk. It is this department that will move into the 19. and the 20th floor of Olivia Star. By leasing two floors of the new building, Nordea Capital Markets IT will be able to increase its workforce to 250 people.

Olivia Star will enlarge the office space of Olivia Business Centre intended for lease from 73 thousand sqm. sqm to almost 120 thousand. sq.m. The building will be the tallest structure in northern Poland (including the spires, the Star will reach 180 meters). Its top floors – with a viewpoint, a terrace, a café, a restaurant and a conference centre – will be open to the public. The ground floor of the high-rise building will be combined with a unique winter garden, designed as a venue for artistic and educational events. A 3-storey underground car park will be built under the building.

It operates in two locations: in the Tricity and in Łódź. In addition to offices in Gdynia, ul. The INCONTRO Choir was founded in April 2010. at the Parish of St. St. Nicholas Church in Gdansk. Currently associated with the Parish of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus. The choir is made up of young people who wantedincontroto enjoy singing together and develop their vocal skills. In his work, he focuses mainly on liturgical music. In the spring of 2011 he performed at the Lenten Song Festival in Kielno. In January 2012 he took part in the auditions at the Festival of Christmas Carols and Pastorals in Chełmno, where he won the Bronze Band. In the spring of 2012 he performed in the 6th National Passion Song Competition in Bydgoszcz, winning the Bronze Band in the Chamber Choirs category. On October 25, 2014, in the VI National Choir Tournament for the Crystal Heart of Chełmno Autumn, he won the Silver Band. Conductor Aleksandra Zawada graduated from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk in the violin class. After graduation, she started working in the Polish Chamber Choir. Since 2009 she has been singing in the Goldberg Baroque Ensemble in Gdańsk.

“Team”. Report from the screening

On Thursday, December 8th, the long-awaited screening of the film “The Team” took place. Olivia Business Centre and Gutek Film invited to the screening and a meeting with Aleksandra Pogorzelska, a psychologist, trainer and coach working in business.

TeamHow to create one team from a group of individualists and extraordinary characters? What do sport and business have in common? How and if do shared sports emotions translate into professional relationships? Can failure also be our success? This, as well as effective management, motivation and energy, was discussed with Aleksandra Pogorzelska by Monika Bogdanowicz from Olivia Business Centre right after the screening of the film.

Aleksandra Pogorzelska specializes in coaching with management boards and managers in the implementation of strategies, motivational speeches and soft skills training. He is a second-class swimming coach. She has been competing in triathlon competitions for 20 years, as a multiple medalist of the Polish Championships in Triathlon and Duathlon she completed nearly 100 triathlons, including two IRONMAN competitions (3800 m swimming, 180 km cycling, 42 km running). Based on her sports and business experience, she has created prestigious programs: Business Champion Development with the participation of Olympic Champions, Sport and Motivation and Business Strategy Program optimizing the functioning of organizations at all levels.

So much joy, optimism, freshness and colour on one ball! A simple and beautiful material at the same time – tissue paper – refers to traditional, folk ornaments that were made of tissue paper.

Sii and Energa also deserve a special mention, as they have prepared so many decorations that the Christmas trees in Olivia Tower are almost bent under them! 🙂 Thank you very much for your passion and energy.

Dozens of handmade decorations by our Residents and children from the White Kitten Kindergarten can be seen in the reception halls. Just like last year, the competition decorations will be stored and will decorate the Christmas trees in our center in the following years.

Schibsted locates to Olivia Star

Schibsted Tech Polska Sp. z o.o., part of the Norwegian Schibsted Media Group, will move to Olivia Star and occupy over 860 sq m on the 21st floor of the highest office building in Tri-City. Once again, experts from international advisory firm JLL represented the tenant in the processes of selecting a new location and negotiation of lease terms.

The Gdańsk-based unit of Schibsted Tech Polska develops IT systems, which are then distributed among millions of users through web and mobile applications. The company has been operating in Gdańsk since 2014 and currently employs nearly 30 specialists.

“Light the Light of Freedom.” 35. Anniversary of the introduction of martial law

The government of the Gdańsk Region of NSZZ “Solidarność” and the Institute of National Remembrance Branch in Gdańsk, the City of Gdańsk, the “Generation of Lechia Gdańsk” Association and Olivia Business Centre invite you to the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the introduction of martial law. The main events of this year’s celebrations of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Martial Law will be the unveiling of the Monument to the Victims of Martial Law, the social action “Light the Light of Freedomas well as the concert of the bands: “Armia”, “Izrael”, “Bielizna”, “Kryzys”, “Fabryka” (Hall of Occupational Health and Safety in Gdańsk, 6 Ks. On December 13 at 7:30 p.m., a symbolic candle will be lit in many windows – the Light of Freedom – commemorating the victims of martial law. Olivia Business Centre, as every year, joins the IPN’s social campaign “Light the Light of Freedom”. On December 13 at 7:30 p.m., the Olivia Six and Olivia Tower buildings will be lit up in white and red colors.

The social campaign “Light the Light of Freedom” refers to the gesture of solidarity that was made towards Poles on Christmas Eve 1981. were made by the masses of the inhabitants of the then free world. As a sign of unity with his compatriots, a candle in the window of the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican was lit by Pope John Paul II. U.S. President Ronald Reagan also called for candles to be placed in the windows, saying in his Christmas address to the nation:

“The Poles have been betrayed by their own government. Those who govern them and their totalitarian allies fear the freedom that Poles love so much. (…) Let the flame of millions of candles in American homes be a testimony that the light of liberty cannot be extinguished.”

The monument will be erected on the site of Antoni Browarczyk’s probable death. It has the form of a bronze plaque depicting the silhouette of a lying 20-year-old man, covered with a “Solidarity” flag. Its author is Gennady Yershov.

Antoni Browarczyk (21 October 1961 – 17 December 1981) – a student of electromechanical works, a member of the Dominican pastoral ministry, a supporter of Lechia Gdańsk, a sympathizer of “Solidarity”. Fatally shot by a bullet during a demonstration in front of the headquarters of the Provincial Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party. The demonstration was the result of the pacification of the strike at the nearby Gdansk Shipyard. Lenin. The youngest victim of martial law.

The social campaign “Light the Light of Freedom” refers to the solidarity gesture performed by inhabitants of the free world at that time for Poles on Christmas Eve of 1981. To show his solidarity with his fellow countrymen, a candle was lit by Pope John Paul II in a window of the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican. Also, US President Ronald Reagan appealed to place candles in windows who in his Christmas address said:

“Poles have been betrayed by their own government. Those who rule there and their totalitarian allies are afraid of the freedom that Poles love so much. (…) Let the light of millions of candles in US homes be a testimony that the light of freedom may not be quenched”.

FRAMEWORK PROGRAM OF THE CELEBRATIONS OF THE 35TH ANNIVERSARY OF MARTIAL LAW IN GDAŃSK

(Tuesday)

  • 4.30 p.m.– a ceremonial mass at the Basilica of Saint Brygida in Gdańsk (17 Profesorska Street)
  • about 6 p.m. – march is Targ Rakowy
  • about 6.30 p.m. unveiling of a monument to the Victims of the Martial Law( M. Konopnicka Park, Wały Jagiellońskie)

The monument will be placed at the probable place of Antoni Browarczyk’s death. It is a board made of bronze, presenting a silhouette of a lying 20-year old man, covered with a “Solidarność” flag. It was made by Gennady Yershov.

Antoni Browarczyk (21 October 1961 – 17 December 1981) – an apprentice in an electrical and mechanical plant, a participant in Dominican pastoral work, a supporter of Lechia Gdańsk, a sympathizer of “Solidarność”. Deadly shot during a demonstration in front of the Provincial Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party. The demonstration followed the pacification of a strike in the nearby Lenin Shipyard in Gdańsk. He was the youngest victim of martial law.

  • about 7.15 p.m. – march to the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Worker (Solidarność Square)
  • 7.30 p.m. – beginning of the national action “Light the Light of Freedom”. At that time, the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Worker will be illuminated.
  • 8.00 p.m.concert by the following bands: “Armia”, “Izrael”, “Bielizna”, “Kryzys”, “Fabryka”

(OHS Hall in Gdansk, 6 Ks. Jerzy Popiełuszki Street). At the former shipyard site, close to the OHS Hall, a show of reconstruction groups will be presented.

  • On 13 December we further invite you to the exhibition Antoni Browarczyk – the first victim of martial law in Gdańsk (Targ Rakowy in Gdańsk) and 586 days of martial law (Solidarność Square). The exhibitions will be opened until 5 January 2017.

The ceremonies of 13 December are organised by the Management of the Gdańsk Region of NSZZ “Solidarność” and the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) in Gdańsk.
