Lecture “Dare to be close” as part of the Marriage Week

We cordially invite you to a lecture with elements of the workshop, inaugurating the Marriage Development Academy entitled: “Dare to be close”, which will take place on February 8 (Wednesday), at 6.00 p.m., in the O4 coworking space (Olivia Four building). Marriage Week is a social campaign promoting this special, complementary bond between a woman and a man, present in 22 countries, on 4 continents and taking place annually on the same date from 7 to 14 February. This year, its third edition will take place in Poland. The lecture will be conducted by psychologist and psychotherapist Agnieszka Kamińska.

All fairy tales about love, in which the characters in love overcome a lot of obstacles to be together, end with the longed-for wedding and the punchline: “they lived happily ever after”. In life, it is often the opposite – obstacles and hardships begin only after marriage. Our imaginations, dreams and fantasies about of a wonderful relationship are confronted with reality. The question arises: are the happy couple just pictures from fairy tales, movies and advertisements?

During the lecture “Dare to be close” we will try to understand where the desire for a happy relationship comes from and why it is so difficult for us to achieve it. Why, despite the fact that we both want it, is it so often difficult for us to achieve it? We will try to experience and understand what psychological mechanisms (both conscious and less conscious) we activate, which distance us from emotional closeness and often condemn us to loneliness in a relationship.

The lecture will also help those who have already dared to be close, but are still working on the quality of their relationship. It will help you understand what is hindering and what helps you achieve your goal of “living happily ever after”. It will show you what to avoid and what to do to build a close, intimate bond and be successful in your marriage.

Agnieszka Kamińska – psychotherapist, psychologist. She completed one of the first editions of Core Training in Poland – an advanced, comprehensive training in the field of ISTDP (Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy), obtaining an international ISTDP psychotherapist certificate, entitling her to independently conduct psychotherapy in this trend. Originator and co-founder of the Polish Institute of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy – SENTIO. Ambassador of this innovative method of personal development and psychotherapy in Poland. For 16 years, she has been inspiring and helping people with personal development and emotional balance in life. She actively participates in an international project – a cyclical, annual social campaign “Marriage Week International” implemented in 22 countries on 4 continents, since 2015 she has been co-responsible for its Polish edition of “Marriage Week”, which takes place annually from 7 to 14 February. She is socially involved in the Association of Christian Psychologists, where she is the president of the Gdańsk branch. Her life motto: Be bold and act.

Goyello relies on further development in the Olivia Business Centre

Goyello, a Polish & Dutch IT company, plans its further dynamic development in the Olivia Business Centre. The company prolonged its agreement on the lease of office space in the OBC, decided to take up some additional area and move to the Olivia Star. The Goyello team has been a resident of Olivia since 2011, i.e. from the beginning of the centre’s existence.

Goyello: young and talented

Goyello specializes in the provision of IT solutions developed in line with the principles of the Agile methodology[1]. Customers of Goyello are enterprises from the B2B[2] sector. Distinctive features of the company include flexibility, openness and partnership relations within the team and with customers including companies from Europe and the United States.

Goyello celebrated its 10th birthday in November 2016. Throughout these years, the company has won numerous awards. Among others, it was awarded the prestigious Dutch-Polish Business Award, a distinction for the most innovative and responsible companies with a positive impact on the Polish-Dutch economic relations. Goyello also won the IT Leaders 2016 contest in the “Business Intelligence Trends” category.

The company’s office is currently located in the Olivia Gate building. Goyello signed its first contract for 500 sq.m in 2011. The company doubled its team in five years. The new Polish office of Goyello on the 9th floor of the Olivia Star building occupies 1300 sq.m. and more than 100 people will work there. According to Goyello’s motto: THINK, CREATE, CARE, the new office will have a place to focus, place for creative work, creativity, substantive and social meetings as well as for relaxation.

Actively in the Olivia Business Centre community

As a resident of the Centre almost since the beginning of its development, Goyello has been taking an active part in the life of the community of the Olivia Business Centre. The team welcomes Olivia residents coming to work with tulips, the most Dutch ones of all flowers each year on the King’s Day.

It also successfully participates in the Olivia Sports program.

Another meeting in the Dessert with HR series

Next Tuesday (31.01), at 1.00 p.m., in Olivia Sky Club (Olivia Tower building, 12th floor) there will be another meeting of the Dessert with HR series. The organizers of the event are Olivia Business Centre and Sii Gdańsk, and the partner is Radisson Blu. The meeting is dedicated to HR specialists and managers.

The goal of Dessert with HR is to exchange knowledge about HR tools and processes and, in fact, to get to know this environment from the proverbial inside out. These events were created for specialists from the HR, EB and marketing industries – says Alicja Sawicka, the originator of the initiative. The series of meetings is also a platform for networking and, above all, conversation. Thanks to the substantive program and inspiring guests, Dessert with HR attracts nearly 100 specialists from the largest companies in Pomerania and companies from the BPO/SSC area.

MonikaMonika Spotowska – Attorney-at-law, tax advisor, graduate of the Faculty of Law at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. A graduate of postgraduate studies in “International Tax Strategies” at the Warsaw School of Economics. He specialises in issues related to double taxation treaties, income taxes and social insurance, with particular emphasis on the issue of cross-border employment of employees and optimisation of tax burdens. She is also interested in issues related to investments in Special Economic Zones. Co-author of books entitled “Work of foreigners in Poland”, “Functioning of enterprises in a special economic zone” and “Clause against tax avoidance”. Author of many publications on legal and tax issues.


IwonaIwona Łaska-Rutkowska –
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw and postgraduate studies in “Taxes and Tax Law” at the University of Warsaw. Erasmus scholarship holder at the Technical University of Dresden. A specialist in the field of value added tax (VAT), corporate income tax, as well as an expert in the field of Special Economic Zones. He regularly participates m. in numerous Due Diligence and tax reviews. She is the author of many publications on tax law.

PeterPiotr Mrowiec – A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań and the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), where he obtained the title of Master of German & Polish Law. He specialises in providing comprehensive legal advice to companies with foreign capital, cross-border redress, as well as securing the interests of Polish entities investing abroad, in particular in Germany. Piotr Mrowiec also advises entities from the renewable energy sources industry. Since 2012, he has been entered on the list of mediators at the Regional Court in Poznań. Piotr Mrowiec is the author of many publications, as well as a frequent speaker in Poland and abroad.

A short report from the music weekend

The musical weekend is behind us! On Friday, there was a concert of Polish and Ukrainian Christmas carols performed by the “Motivo” trio. And on Saturday, as part of the Olivia Camerata series, we could hear the most beautiful Christmas carols performed by the Choir of the Singing Society. K. The second edition of the “Work Out the Future” project

We invite you to take part in the “Work Out the Future” project, organized by the City of Gdańsk. The partner of the project is our Resident – Talent Development Centre. The aim is to enable participants (students, university graduates, adult technical school students) to gain professional experience, making it easier for them to find their first job and stay on the local labour market, as well as to support companies looking for interns and often also new employees.

The project is addressed to students and graduates of higher education as well as adult students of the last years of technical schools and their graduates. Internships can be funded by companies, NGOs and other institutions that undertake to host interns and pay them remuneration in the minimum amount specified in the project regulations.

You can apply for the project at any time during its duration. Founders of the internship will be able to submit an internship offer no later than 14 July 2017, and candidates for the internship will be able to submit their applications no later than 28 July 2017. The duration of the internship and the form of employment will be determined individually by the founder in consultation with the intern. The internship should last at least 1 month.

The “Work Out the Future” project met with great interest from the participants, as well as companies and entrepreneurs. In the first edition of the project, 108 internship places were offered, for which 424 applications were recorded.

#TweetupAcademy in O4

We cordially invite you to the #TweetupAcademy meeting, which will take place on January 28, at 12:00 in the O4 Coworking Space. In the 3city Tweetup formula, they have been meeting for several years. The topics of conversation always touch on technological innovations, share knowledge and examples of interesting functioning in social media.

3city Tweetup is a gathering of Twitter users. It is informal, organized in order to get to know people in person who have so far only known each other from the Internet. People with different interests, ages, views, related to different industries. Often, the only thing that unites participants is the tool they use to communicate with others and their love of the Internet. Tweetups are frequented by Twitter celebrities with thousands of followers, as well as new users for whom Twitter is something completely new.

In a group of artists (Katarzyna Michałowska, Damian Jarosz, Sebastian Drausal) we came up with the idea of the first meeting and took advantage of the hospitality of the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park in Gdynia. The first meeting of the Tweetup Academy took place on February 27, 2015. We have discovered that our group has a high potential for knowledge about new media, marketing strategies, and news appearing in social media. We wanted to start sharing this knowledge systematicallysays Katarzyna Michałowska. – We want to share our knowledge in an accessible, workshop form to teach people how to become specialists in using social media. We want to share our knowledge wisely, as well as advise those who want to try to find their way in this field.

A new initiative – Tweetup Academy – is growing out of the formula of the Tri-City tweetup. 3city Tweetup is centered around Twitter and consists of visiting different places together, feasting, chatting or having an adventure together, in order to get to know each other better and become friends. Tweetup Academy, on the other hand, is a space for everyone to share their knowledge in an open formula.

Marek Kamiński’s most important expedition – a meeting with a traveller

On January 13 at 6:00 p.m., in the O4 coworking space, there will be a unique meeting with Marek Kamiński, a Polish polar explorer, traveler and entrepreneur. In 2015, Marek Kamiński walked 4000 km in 100 days along the legendary Camino pilgrimage route, known as the Way of St. Paul. Jacob. Kamiński calls this journey “a journey into the depths of oneself”, “the most important journey in my life”. We will be able to find out why during the meeting.

Although he had previously conquered both poles of the earth, the most difficult expedition in his life turned out to be the expedition to the third pole. Where is he? In my head. Marek Kamiński’s book “The Third Pole” will also be presented. The meeting will be moderated by Monika Bogdanowicz.

Traveller, polar explorer, entrepreneur. The first and only man in the world to reach both poles of the Earth in one year. He participated in expeditions to Antarctica, Greenland, crossed the Atlantic Ocean twice on a yacht, crossed the Gibson Desert, and in 2004 reached both poles with a disabled boy – Jasiek Mela.

An expert in the field of motivation and leadership. Founder of the Marek Kamiński Institute – a training company and owner of Invena SA, a leading company in the heating and sanitary industry. Get money to grow your business

The Pomerania Development Agency announces a call for applications for co-financing projects under Sub-measure 2.2.1. Profiled investments – subsidy support. The competition is addressed to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. Applications must be submitted between 1 February and 15 March 2017. The general envelope of funds allocated to co-financing projects under the call That’s over PLN 66 million.

Paper applications should be submitted in person at the headquarters of the Pomerania Development Agency S.A. (Olivia Six building), from Monday to Friday at 8.00-15.00 or send to the following address:

How to apply
The application form must first be completed and sent in the Application Form available on the www.gwa.pomorskie.eu website.

Then, you should submit an application to the Pomerania Development Agency, which consists of a signed application form with the necessary attachments in paper form, in person or sent to the address indicated above.

Detailed rules for submitting applications for funding are set out in point 11 of the Competition Regulations.

Types of projects for which funding is intended

Investments in enterprises to:

  • expanding the markets or the range of products/services offered or significantly improving their quality – projects that fit into the areas of smart specialisation,
  • improving efficiency through the use of information and communication technologies,
  • reduction of water, raw material, material, transport and energy consumption of production processes, i.e. Including. saving raw materials and energy and reducing emissions of harmful substances into the environment,

and consisting of:

  • construction and development of infrastructure (m.in. facilities, machinery, installations, equipment),
  • modernization of fixed assets necessary to conduct and develop business activity,
  • implementation of fundamental changes in the production process or changes in the way services are provided (including services provided electronically), introduction of organizational changes consisting in the implementation of enterprise management systems, including environmental management systems, computerization of production processes.
