Startup Eve – summary of successes

On 12 December, the third edition of Startup Eve took place at O4 – an annual meeting of entrepreneurs, representatives of public administration, science and institutions supporting the development of Pomeranian startups. Numerous guests, representing the Marshal’s Office and the Gdańsk City Hall, technology parks, incubators, organizations supporting innovations, investors and innovators, spent a lot of time talking about the past, present and future.

TSuch meetings are very much needed. The idea itself came from the fact that there is always not enough time to sit down together and think about what can be done together – says Marcin Kowalik, President of the co-organizer of the Black Pearls VC meeting – It’s normal for us to compete and race against each other. But we also cooperate, and this meeting is a summary of this good, local spirit.

The meeting began with the screening of a film summary of local successes. Awards, money, projects, support programs, customers, jobs – it was nice to hear the positive stories of the past year coming from the screen. Among the guests invited to the film were representatives of Gdańsk and Gdynia, startups and Interizon, conference organizers and investors.

We invite you to watch and congratulate you on so many successes!

How to Learn English on Your Own and for Free? – meeting with Wiktor Jodlowski

On January 10, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., a free meeting with Wiktor Jodłowski, the creator of the Talkersi language incubator, will be held in the O4 coworking space. They will share their knowledge on how to develop their English on their own at no cost.

• Your English stopped at the high school level;

• Or you know all the theory, but you feel like you’re at a loss for words when speaking;

• Or you speak English fluently, but you don’t know what the constructions are based on – you do it for the sake of it;

• Or you’re doing great, but you feel like you want to be exposed to a living language in a conversation?

If you answered “YES” to any of these questions in your head, it means that you will benefit from the meeting organized at O4.

For 90 minutes, Wiktor Jodłowski, the creator of the Talkersi language incubator, will share with us a ready-made recipe on how you can develop your English on your own, at no cost, to a level that will ensure full freedom in communication with your colleagues, superior, client and friends from abroad. It’s worth mentioning that about 42% of business conversations take place in English today (probably the remaining 58% are Asian languages – such an innocent joke!), so it simply pays to know it well. Not to mention the fact that English is the key that opens the door to the world’s largest resources of expertise, books, films and people – all these things before they reach Polish in the local language, first of all have already lost their relevance; Secondly, never they will not faithfully reflect the true intentions of the author, because translation inevitably changes the form of presenting the content, which affects your reception and interpretation. In addition, Polish versions of foreign bestsellers appear on the shelves in our stores only when some investor decides that it will sell in our stores – why should you leave someone else to decide what you read/watch and when you do it? English gives you access to the source itself, without unnecessary intermediaries!

Victor will share his story of how he became fully proficient. It took him approx. 10 years, But that’s because he did it “around”. You, knowing the shortcuts, will fit in much less time. If you want to see a foretaste of what will happen at the event, we encourage you to watch the recording of the live broadcast, which has recently hit the web straight from our Tri-City headquarters.

In addition to the “language biography”, we will learn how to achieve our goals faster instead of 10 years of learning, and see the first clear effects this year. Wiktor has prepared a set of solutions that will allow you to move forward without committing capital, just a portion of your time. This does not mean that progress will come without effort. But the benefits you will get from the freedom to communicate in English will definitely be worth it

The number of places is limited, we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible.

Booking a ticket does not automatically accept your application. Each application is considered individually, please be patient for a moment – each application will receive a response.

We cordially invite you!
