Children’s Day at Olivia Business Centre

Olivia Business Centre has planned an action-packed weekend to celebrate Children’s Day in a family atmosphere 🙂

On Saturday, 3 June, the University of Gdansk sports field behind Olivia Business Centre will transform into Amusementville. Children and their parents:) will have a lot of surprises to choose from (such as a sports competition for kids, an inflatable playground, a demonstration of scientific experiments…). Amusementville opens its doors at 10 a.m. and welcomes all adventurers until 2 p.m.

Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and come equipped with picnic blankets and good moods 🙂

Carpooling in Olivia Business Centre!

Right after the launch of the special OBC bus, we are implementing another employee-friendly solution

carpooling! The idea of carpooling is very simple. If you have a free seat in the car you use to commute to work, you can take passengers going in the same direction with you, i.e. to OBC:)

Carpooling is a plus!

  • Drivers benefit because passengers share the cost of fuel with them.
  • Passengers who travel comfortably and comfortably benefit.
  • By the way, you can get to know each other better and contribute to taking care of the environment:)
  • In addition, you will win a parking space in Olivia Business Centre and many other prizes.

So, a few words about the “Divide the car, multiply the benefits” competition, which promotes our carpooling among Residents and which starts on June 1st.

Rules of the “Divide the car, multiply the benefits” competition.

To take part in the competition, all you need to do is:

  • register on the cp.oliviacentre.com

    platform,

  • specify the route of the home-work route with an indication of departure times and the number of seats available in the car,
  • tag your vehicle with a dedicated action badge
  • and systematically collect coupons (points) for travelling together at the pit-stop located in Olivia Business Centre (from 6:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. vis-à-vis the Starbucks café).

Points are scored for the frequency of journeys and the number of fellow passengers. Vehicles participating in the competition can be specially marked m.in. with an OBC sticker, which is treated as equivalent to transporting an additional passenger to work every day and additionally gratified.

The contest will run from 1 to 30 June.

Since our greatest concern in the wellbeing of your employees, right after we’ve launched the Olivia Bus, we’d like to introduce you to carpooling:) The idea of carpooling is very simple. Rules of the competition for Residents

In order to take part in the competition:

  • you have to register at

“Settlements between a public entity and an entrepreneur – new regulations from 1 June 2017”

On 1 June 2017, the The amended provisions on the possibility of concluding both court and out-of-court settlements between public entities and entrepreneurs enter into force. The new regulations apply to contracts concluded by communes, districts and provinces, as well as public government entities, with entrepreneurs through public procurement, but also outside of them.

Subject of the conference

The conference will focus on discussing changes in regulations and on the methods of practical implementation of a civil law settlement between a public entity and an entrepreneur – from the point of view of the elements of a settlement, conducting court and out-of-court proceedings, including mediation and public finance discipline.

The conference is addressed to:

  • entrepreneurs having concluded contracts with public entities, i.e. m.in with communes, districts or government administration or planning to conclude such agreements,
  • communes, districts, provinces and government administration units, in particular those that are engaged in court or out-of-court disputes with entrepreneurs,
  • mediators and facilitators of amicable dispute resolution.

The conference was held under the honorary patronage of: Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, President of the Regional Court in Gdańsk. In the process of confirmation – Pomeranian Voivode.

Olivia Business Centre at CSIO5* Sopot 2017

For the third time, the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has granted Poland the right to organize equestrian competitions in the world’s highest rank of 5*. On June 8-11, almost 100 competitors from all over the world will compete at the Sopot Hippodrome. Olivia Business Centre is an official partner of a unique event, which is CSIO5* Sopot 2017.

The Official International Show Jumping Competition CSIO5* Sopot 2017 is not only a unique atmosphere, but also unforgettable emotions. For 4 days, equestrian lovers are in for a real feast. The best of the best will enter the parkour competitions.

The elite of show jumping competitors will present themselves to the spectators in 11 competitions. As every year, the FEI Nations Cup TM for the LOTTO Award, where four-person teams will compete as a team overcoming a 150 cm high obstacle course, will provide a lot of excitement. The crowning achievement of the four-day competition will be the Grand Prix competition for the Cup of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda on Sunday.

The importance of the competition obliges. In the prize pool, the organizers, thanks to the support of the City of Sopot, the Main Partner – LOTTO and many great sponsors, including Olivia Business Centre, have prepared PLN 1,620 thousand. Such rewarded competitions mean that the competition will certainly be even and at the highest level. On the flagpoles around the Sopot Hippodrome we will see the flags of Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Russia, the Netherlands, Polish and the USA – in her team will start currently 17th in the ranking of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Laura Kraut. This titled amazon has won a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

CSIO5* is not only about big wins and sport with a capital “S”. It is also numerous shows and attractions for the audience, which will make this June weekend memorable for a long time. In between the sports competition, the competition arena will host real uhlans, a horse archer and Blanka Satora from a world-class show. Celebrating this wonderful celebration of sport, the organizers decided to invite Polish Olympic gold medalists to the Sopot Hippodrome, for whom it will be an opportunity to meet fans, sign autographs and watch the equestrian competition during CSIO5*. Olivia CONNECT about the power of relationships and cooperation

Olivia Business Centre is one of the largest and most dynamically developing business hubs in Poland. The world’s top corporations have their headquarters here, e.g. Amazon, Bayer or PwC, the largest Polish brands, such as Energa, Omida, VTS, dynamically developing small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, institutions and business support organizations. From the very beginning of Olivia’s DNA, cooperation, inspiration and development have been inscribed in her DNA. We focus on the cooperation of sectors, industries and companies, trying to create optimal conditions conducive to building mutual trust and developing joint initiatives, which – we hope – will change and will change Pomerania into an even better place to live and work.

In order to instill the idea of cooperation in our Residents and their Business Partners, we have initiated the Olivia CONNECT project at Olivia Business Centre. Year of Olivia CONNECT

On the occasion of the first anniversary of Olivia CONNECT, Olivia Business Centre organizes a unique meeting under the slogan “The Power of Relationships. Cooperation as a response to challenges”. During the event, which will take place on May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Sky Club OBC , we want not only to introduce the idea of Olivia CONNECT, but also to present the projects that we have managed to implement so far, together with our Residents, as part of the CONNECT project and outside of it, in Olivia Business Centre. We hope that by showing how much can be achieved together, we will encourage a wide range of Pomeranian entities to cooperate (e.g. cross-sectorally).

One of the key points of the event will be a lecture by Tomasz Kalinowski, PhD, diplomat and economist from the Sopot University of Applied Sciences, on the broadly understood value of cooperation.

Together with our guests, we will talk about what we can do together to develop our Region, using the potential of Residents, Business and Science.

There will also be time for networking.

The event will be attended by representatives of business, science, education, local government and beneficiaries of projects carried out by organizations located in Olivia Business Centre.

After the official part, we will invite you to individual meetings with the Residents of Olivia Business Centre as part of their “open doors”.

Inspiration Congress “Discover the world and yourself”

Olivia Business Centre supports inspiring events. This time we would like to inform you about the Congress of Inspiration and encourage you to participate in this meeting. The organizer of the event is the Marek Kamiński Institute. You can meet Mr. Kamiński himself in Olivia m.in. as a guest of Olivia COOLTURA:)

The Congress of Inspiration is the first event of its kind in Poland, which aims to inspire our guests to find motivation in life based on real stories and experiences of people such as Marek Kamiński, Andrzej Bargiel and Małgorzata Wojtaczka.

The mission of the congress is to disseminate practices, improve qualifications and exchange experiences among professionals and enthusiasts of motivation and coaching in the personal and professional sphere. Guests will also have the opportunity to listen to advice and tips on how to cope with difficult life situations.

The “Discover the world and yourself” congress is about inspiration, lifestyle, self-discovery and learning how to live in harmony between work and private life. It is a testimony of outstanding professionals on how to overcome barriers and how not to be afraid of risk.

About the Power of Relationships – Olivia Connect Birthday

On 24 May, representatives of business, science, education, local government and beneficiaries of projects implemented by organizations located in Olivia Business Centre met in Olivia Business Centre. They discussed the strength of relationships and the importance of cross-sectoral and cross-industry projects. The participants of the meeting ” The Power of Relationships, Cooperation as a Response to Challenges” proved that joint actions m.in. On the business-science-local government line, they allow to create significant competitive advantages and have a significant impact on strengthening the position of the Pomeranian region. An opportunity to exchange experiences was the anniversary of the Olivia CONNECT project, dedicated to broadly understood cooperation, relations and mutual inspiration. The event was attended by 120 people.

Maciej Grabski, The President of Olivia Business Centre, opening the meeting, said m.in. We are in a place where history harmonizes with the present, where, here I look at our closest neighbour, Hala Oliwia, I can feel the power of joint action that can change reality. I’m sure we can always do more together than we can do separately.

Many of them are already changing Pomerania. According to us and our speakers, cooperation, knowledge sharing and relationships are essential today to achieve a market advantage.

During the event, Dr. Tomasz Kalinowski from the Sopot University of Applied Sciences talked about the broadly understood cooperation. He presented m.in. analysis of the Tri-City’s business position as well as competitive values and advantages, m.in. location of the metropolis in relation to other Polish and European agglomerations. He also pointed out the most important challenges that Pomerania is currently facing. – Our capital is the synergy of all cooperating entities. The Tri-City entrepreneurship brand is created by an ecosystem of synergy: business, regional authorities, business-oriented higher education sector and business environment sector; I mean the real estate market, the banking system, recruitment companies, NGOs. Already today, the Tri-City brand is worth 15 billion dollars – emphasized Dr. Kalinowski.

During the event, the projects that OBC residents have completed together so far within the CONNECT space and in the Olivia Business Centre itself were also presented.

The Power of Relationships

Krzysztof Kunicki from the Job Office, a unit of the Gdańsk Labour Office, and Sylwia Broda from BPO Education Centre, a project of SSW, spoke about a non-standard approach to recruitment processes. The “Corporate Accounting” course is an example of effective and effective cooperation between enterprises and business support institutions. It was developed by Job Office in response to the specific needs of companies in the BPO/SSC sector – thyssenkrupp, Fujifilm and Kemir, looking for junior accountants. Candidates for these positions were trained by the BPO Education Center and the graduates of the training, immediately after its completion, started working in the above-mentioned companies cooperating within the project. Companies.

A comprehensive offer dedicated to entrepreneurs was presented by Magdalena Raczyńska and Jarosław Filipczak from the Pomeranian Regional Chamber of Commerce. RIGP, an organization of economic self-government, brings together entrepreneurs conducting business activity in the Pomeranian, West Pomeranian, Warmian-Masurian, Kuyavian-Pomeranian and Greater Poland Voivodeships on a voluntary basis.

Andrzej Kiesz from InfoShare and Izabela Diesterheft from Interizon also talked about the power of cooperation. They presented the results of the Digital Health Care project, proving that health care is an area where technology has more and more to explore. Jolanta Szydłowska, President of PZP Lewiatan, together with Jarosław Jarocki from PPT PKS Gdańsk Oliva SA presented the results of the implementation of the “Strategic Support for SMEs” program.

Agnieszka Zglinicka and Leszek Szmidtke talked about the mission of the Inspiring Examples Foundation, supported by the Olivia Business Centre. – We want to bring young people closer to the idea of entrepreneurship by presenting them with good, or even the best, examples of business activity in Pomerania – said Leszek Szmidtke – In this way, we intend to help them make good career choices. Almost 60 companies already cooperate with us.

There was also time for networking, which is so important for building new relationships and strengthening existing ones. After the official part of the event, individual meetings were held at the residents of Olivia CONNECT as part of the “open doors”.

We talked about what we can do together to develop our Region, using the potential of residents, business and science. We hope that by showing how much can be achieved together, we will encourage a wide range of Pomeranian entities to cooperate. Already, our partners, m.in, play an extremely important role in creating an atmosphere of cooperation and in the development of relations. Family Children’s Day in Olivia

On the occasion of Children’s Day, Olivia Business Centre is preparing a lot of attractions.

On Saturday, 3 June, a Play Town will be created at Olivia Business Centre. Many surprises will be waiting for the youngest residents of the Tri-City in Olivia (m.in. sports competitions for children (with parents), inflatable playground, show of scientific experiments).

Admission to both events is free.


The Play Town
opens June 3 at 10.00 a.m. at the stadium of the University of Gdansk, behind the buildings of Olivia Business Centre and will remain available for young adventurers until 10.00 a.m. 14.00

Please bring comfortable clothes, blankets for picnic rest and good humor. 🙂
