Thinking Zone invites you to a charismatic lecture and interactive meeting with André Stern! For parents, educators, teachers, pedagogues, psychologists, caregivers, students of pedagogical faculties and anyone who is interested in the well-being and development of children.

André Stern (born 1971 in Paris) is a professional musician, composer, violin maker, journalist and writer. He is fluent in five languages and has extensive knowledge in the fields of computer science, astronomy and photography. He never went to school. He is the protagonist of the famous 2013 documentary on education Alphabet directed by Erwin Wagenhofer. He gives lectures and conducts seminars in several countries around the world. It talks about childhood, play, trust, learning, the role of enthusiasm and children’s rhythms and rituals. He has two sons who also do not go to school.

During the meeting:

• you will learn the attitude that allows children to unleash their full potential,
• you ask Andre Stern a personal question,
• You will experience the exchange of experiences between participants.

André Stern about himself:

When I was little, I developed a sentence that I used to introduce myself: “Good morning, my name is André, I’m four years old, I’m a boy, I don’t eat candy and I don’t go to school. To this day, I present myself in this way. “Good morning. My name is still André, I’m still a boy – I’m 53 years old, but I’m still a kid – I still don’t eat candy and I’ve never gone to school.”

André Stern was born in 1971 in Paris. His father, Arno Stern, devoted his life to working with children – he created the Malort studio, where he gives children the opportunity to express themselves freely, have fun painting and study the process of “formulation”.

He is the author of the books: “… and I never went to school”, “Sowers of enthusiasm: Manifesto of the ecology of childhood”, “Fun. About learning, trust and life full of enthusiasm”, Enthusiasts. Awaken the energy of your childhood! “My Father, My Friend” (a joint work with Arno Stern). His books have been translated into eight languages and have sold over 300,000 copies.
