The next meeting of the Flora Olivia club is ahead of us! This time we will visit Olivia Garden – you will learn the secrets of the garden and the vegetation inhabiting it. The guide, Oskar Zając, will reveal interesting facts about the garden and the cultivation of this exotic flora.
Classes are free of charge, tickets to Olivia Garden are required.
You can find a free ticket for people working in Olivia in the My Olivia application.
A small taste of what you will see at the meeting:
Cocoa tree
- Native to South and Central America
- Flowers grow in bunches directly from the trunk and branches. This is the so-called Caulifloria
- The large cocoa fruit, resembling a football, contains up to 60 beans
- Scientific evidence suggests that the cradle of cocoa and chocolate is the Ulúa Valley in Honduras
Sweet blueberry
- It occurs naturally in Asia and Australia
- Malaysians call the plant ylang-ylang, the flower of flowers
- This term was transferred to an aromatic oil made from blueberry flowers, which is an ingredient of, for example, Chanel No. 5 perfumes
