We invite you to another extraordinary walk. This time – Zaspa. Important: English language event
What is Gdańsk like when seen away from the tourist trails?
What stories and secrets escape the authors of mainstream guidebooks?
You can discover these during alternative city walks, organized by the “Local guides”.
This time, we are heading to Zaspa, home to the largest gallery of monumental paintings in Europe!
Join us for an extraordinary guided tour of the Zaspa neighborhood in Gdańsk, where we will discover an amazing collection of murals adorning the walls of residential buildings.
Zaspa, known as the “honeycomb” neighborhood, has a unique urban layout with plenty of green spaces.
This is also where Lech Wałęsa lived, and his image is commemorated on one of the murals.
Our route covers approximately 1.5h tour, during which we will see about 20 large-format murals and 19 artistic entrances to stairwells.
We will start our walk from Pilotów 12A.
The best way to reach Zaspa is by SKM train, getting off at Gdańsk Zaspa station.

Local Guides
Local Guides is an initiative that brings together residents of Gdańsk who passionately, knowledgeably, and enthusiastically lead tours through the city’s lesser-known corners.
Each walk follows a unique itinerary crafted by the guide.
During these walks, participants can learn about the local flora and architecture, delve into the history of the neighborhood, and explore its hidden spots usually known only to residents.
The guides share literary inspirations and artistic connections related to the area, often adding personal touches to their narratives.
These walks offer a different perspective of the city.
Sometimes, the stories shared by the guide surprise even the oldest inhabitants of the neighborhood.
Tourists appreciate the “insider” knowledge provided by the guides, which reveals the local atmosphere and allows them to delve deeper into the city’s uniqueness.
