Work and chill at the Work & Chill Station in Olivia Star!

We invite you to the first floor of Olivia Star. It is here that we have prepared a fantastic space for you, where you can chill and work.

Subdued colors, comfortable sofas, armchairs, and even chaise longues (yes, yes!) are something for those who value casual comfort. For traditionalists, we have tables, desks and chairs. Everything is beautiful, tasteful, elegant and ergonomic.

You can just sit here (to relax), you can lie down (because why not), you can work (sitting, lying down or lying down), you can meet a contractor here, you can talk about something as a team. And by the way, you can drink excellent coffee here! There is an express, but self-service applies.

We have prepared the zone together with our Resident, Nowy Styl.

All employees of companies located in Olivia Star move around the building with access cards, so they can freely enter (or drive) to the first floor of this mega zone. Employees of companies from other Olivia buildings go to the reception desk as usual to pick up their access card to the first level of Olivia Star. In other words, the access rules adopted for all Olivia buildings apply here.

Enjoy!

PS. remember that this is not the only space in Olivia where you will feel work-life balance. We constantly invite you to Olivia Garden, which is green all year round, Linden Avenue (while it is still beautiful autumn) or to the Olivia Star Observation Floor. If you work at Olivia Prime, you can always take a breather on the roof terraces or take advantage of the last days of sunshine by sitting in the loggias.

Olivia is always on a roll

Olivia Centre is an example of a business centre that goes far beyond the traditional approach to the customer. With a strong focus on innovation and flexibility, this dynamic workspace offers not only offices, but also an entire ecosystem that fosters business growth and success. At a time when competition in the job market is increasingly fierce, finding a way to motivate employees and keep them engaged has become extremely important to the success of an organization. Olivia Centre offers a range of sports and artistic activities, in which an increasing number of residents of the centre take part every year. The location of Olivia Centre on the Baltic Sea provides not only a wonderful view, but also a unique offer of cruises on the Bay of Gdańsk, dedicated to all members of the Olivia Centre community.

Olivia Yacht Club , as this is the name of the initiative, brings together not only experienced sailors, but also people who want to start their adventure with the sea in this way. You don’t have to be an employee of the Olivia Centre company to take part in the cruise, the organizers have also provided a pool of places for people without resident status. Cruises depart every Wednesday afternoon, usually from Marina Sopot. A place on the boat can be booked in the My Olivia app or on the oliviacentre.com website.

Beautiful views from the high floors of my office are not the only benefit of Olivia’s seaside location. All Residents can easily join the cruises on the Bay of Gdansk, individually or even with the whole team, or you can invite a loved one. Taking part in the cruise does not require any complicated preparations, you book a place, pay an attractive price, and then set off on an adventure from the port of Sopot. I recommend it to anyone who likes the sun on their face, wind in their hair and rocking on the sea waves. – says Maciej Zielonka, Function developing engineer at Sii Poland.

There are more satisfied sailors like Maciej Zielonka. Qualitative research conducted among Residents (employees of companies in Olivia Centre) at the end of 2022 indicates that attendance in offices is increasing on sports activity days. Despite the fact that hybrid work has recently gained in importance, we recorded 45% higher attendance in our buildings than in 2021 and the highest number of events in history organized at the Olivia Centre. This would not have been possible without Olivia’s community.

Pinktober. Don’t forget about breast self-examination!

October has been recognized around the world as Breast Cancer Awareness Month for many years. In this special period, we take up topics related to the prevention, diagnostics and modern treatment of breast cancer. On the occasion of Pink October, we also promote cancer prevention and vigilance. We also encourage you to self-examine your breasts. See how to perform the test correctly. And remember that regular examination allows you to detect cancerous changes at an early stage and, as a consequence, apply effective treatment. The film was prepared by the
Pink Butterfly Association
, a non-profit organization supporting patients treated at the Breast Cancer Center of the University Clinical Center in Gdańsk. It was established in November 2019 by medical staff, patients and friends gathered at the UCC Breast Cancer Center. The Association’s mission is to help people suffering from cancer, including breast diseases, at all stages of the disease (from diagnosis, through treatment and convalescence).

The Pink Butterfly Association, Olivia Centre, Energa Volunteers from the ORLEN Group and the Orlen Foundation invite you to the Pink Ribbon March on 16 October.
Tie the ribbon with us at 12:00
. Let’s start on Olivia’s patio!

Did you know?

  • Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide (25%) and the leading cause of death (14%), and breast cancer patients account for 36% of women living with cancer. It is estimated that nearly 1.7 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year, and more than 500,000 die from it. It is a heterogeneous disease in which we distinguish different subtypes.
  • The highest incidence of breast cancer is recorded in industrialized countries (Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain). The lowest incidence is in countries in Africa and Southeast Asia. Geographic region is a factor that significantly modifies the risk of breast cancer.
  • In Poland, breast cancer has become one of the biggest threats to premature mortality of women in the last century. Breast cancer also occurs in men, although very rarely. It is estimated that one in the number of cases of breast cancer is breast cancer in men.
  • The risk factors for the development of the disease are complex, but the key factors seem to be those related to the hormonal status of the woman (reproductive factors, age of puberty and menopause, use of hormonal preparations). The incidence of breast cancer increases with age. Cancer is rare among women under 45 years of age, and the majority of cases occur in women over 50 years of age (80% of patients in Poland).
  • A factor that significantly increases the risk of developing breast cancer is the presence of a mutation in the BRCA1 gene or the BRCA2 gene. It is estimated that 4-8% of breast cancers may be the result of inherited mutations, the remaining cases are the result of sporadic mutations in somatic cells.
  • Diagnosis and early detection (secondary prophylaxis) based on regular mammography examinations (screening) are of decisive importance in the context of prevention and prevention of the development of advanced breast cancer.

Pinktober in Olivia. Tie a ribbon with us!

The first(s) win!

Around the world, October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Monthpeople struggling with the disease. The distinctive pink ribbon, an international symbol of the fight against breast cancer, will illuminate Olivia Star’s façade on October 16 , the day of our event, and just after the European Breast Cancer Day. Once again, we want to remind the residents of the Tri-City about life-saving prevention. That’s not all. Once again, Olivia is involved in the ” First Ones Win” campaign, which is a grassroots initiative of amazing ladies – Natalia Cebula, Magdalena Pakmur, Ewa Opiela and Kamila Dymowska, who work for Energa, part of the ORLEN Group.

The project is substantively supported by the
Pink Butterfly Association
and the
Breast Disease
Center at the University Clinical Center. The campaign is part of Pinktober’s global campaign to promote breast cancer prevention, traditionally held in October. The aim of the “First Ones Win” campaign is to change the perception of breast cancer and the fear of the disease and its treatment, as well as to ensure that cancer is treated as a disease that can be prevented by regular check-ups.

The event was held under the media patronage of
Radio Gdańsk
. We are also supported by
Trojmiasto.pl.

Therefore, on behalf of us, Energa Volunteers, we would like to invite you, Dear Residents and Neighbors, on October 16 at 12:00 p.m. on Olivia’s patio. Just “Tie the ribbon with us!”

Let us know you’ll be

Tie a ribbon with us, or the Pink Ribbon

It is in fact a walk, a symbolic march with which we want to express solidarity and support for people affected by breast cancer. Among our Residents there are also oncological patients. Let’s show that we keep our fingers crossed for them and support them with warm thoughts!

This year, we will try to set the route in such a way that its course resembles the shape of a tied ribbon, hence the motto. The symbol of the ribbon, weather permitting, will be drawn on the patio by children from our White Kitten Olive Kindergarten.

Participants will receive a warm-up coffee from Santander, a sweet treat and “anti-stress” in the shape of a woman’s breast.

On the patio from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m . there will also be sA special tent that will house m.in. stations with phantoms, where you will be able to learn how to properly self-examine your breasts. There will be leaflets – a cheat sheet on how to get tested along with information on where to go for help.

At the end, as usual, we will take a souvenir photo.

And here let us know that you will

Breast cancer affects not only women, but also men, so we hope that men will also appear in large numbers at the starting line. Let’s remember that early detection of breast cancer gives a good chance of complete recovery. So it’s worth getting tested and, above all, don’t be afraid to face it!

That was the case a year ago. Let there be even more of us!
