Do you like to play billiards? Apply by March 31 for the League of Companies under the aegis of Omida!

Omida, which has recently opened the Omida Billiards Corner in Olivia Star, invites you to participate in the Billiard League of Companies!
If you like to play billiards, apply by e-mail by March 31st!

How to do it?

Everyone interested in participating in the tournament should register their willingness to participate in the tournament by e-mail by March 31 to the following address : bilardowaligafirm@o2.pl

  • Subject: Registration for the Business League
  • message content: name, surname, company (e.g. John Smith, Omida)

What do you need to know?

You need to know THIS link. It will take you to the tournament you created. It should be known by everyone who wants to sign up, is enrolled, or is just curious about the results. Until the end of March, the list of registered participants will be updated, so you can check in real time whether you are registered or not, and after signing up, you can watch how the tournament is going. You don’t have to play in a tournament to have access to this site, anyone can follow it:)

 

Start of the tournament

The tournament starts on April 1st.

 

Policy

  1. On April 1st, all curious and all subscribers click THIS IMPORTANT link and check the league bracket (which will appear in a moment, as the number of players signed up increases). There we check who plays with whom in the 1st round. Until the end of the week, i.e. until April 7 , the players make an appointment with each other on a selected day of the week at a specific time to play a match (up to 3 games won); We play 8-ball.
  2. Then the players check who they are playing against in the 2nd round and then they have another week to meet and play a match.
  3. After the duel is over, you should boast about the result on the messenger or WhatsApp group previously launched by the Tournament Organizer, Omida .
  4. The games are played every day of the week. When two players agree to play, that’s when they play. It’s important that everyone manages to play each round in one week.
  5. There are 3 points for a win, 0 points for a loss.
  6. There are no draws.
  7. The match is played to 3 games won.
  8. We play a variation of 8-balls: you are not allowed to move the white ball away from the board by the width of the club, you are not allowed to touch the balls at all, then there is a foul.
  9. After pocketing all of your balls, e.g. whole balls, the black ball with No. 8 can be declared to each pocket without exception.
  10. After 5 weeks, the winners of their groups will emerge, then the winners play each other in the final for the 1st place in the billiard league of companies.
  11. The games last up to 6 weeks, not longer.

Important. How to get to the first floor of Olivia Star?

  • All employees of Olivia Star companies move around the building with access cards, so they can easily drive to the first floor of Olivia Star (they will go down to this floor from their offices) to the Work&Chill Corner.
  • Employees of companies from other Olivia buildings they go to the reception desk as usual to pick up the access card for level 1 of Olivia Star. In other words, the access rules adopted for all Olivia buildings apply here.

The 12th season of the Olivia Football League is underway. This time, 12 teams are fighting for the cup and fame. Who will win gold, silver, bronze? What will be the record for goals in a single match? Who will score the most goals in the regular season? Check out the current results! It’s time to start Thursday’s trips!

With a new year, a new step. We present to you the plan of Thursday trips in January. There will be no boredom!:) What is worth remembering?

  • We register for trips on the events website.
  • It’s worth following our FB groups to stay up to date, these are of course My Olivia and Olivia’s Expeditions

Here is a plan of action:

  • 06.01. – hike along the Zagórska Struga stream (daytime)

Exceptionally, due to the fact that next Thursday is free, we will go on a trip in the forest during the day.
The route will lead along one of the most beautiful streams of the Tri-City forests – Zagórska Struga.
We have approx. 20- 22 km of amazing hiking.
To sum up the day and start a new tourist season, we will light a bonfire and have a little feasting.

  • 13.01. – hiking between the streams of the Valley of Joy (evening)
  • 20.01. – hiking along the Duck Stream Valley (evening)
  • 27.01. – guided walk around the Gdansk Shipyard (evening)

Olivia recommends cycling! Just get on your bike and ride to Olivia on your bike! Ride around Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot, and even all over Europe!

 

Do you know EuroVelo?

 

EuroVelo is a network of 17 bicycle routes that allow you to travel around our entire continent. Their total length is over 90,000 km! In the Pomeranian Voivodeship, you will drive EV routes over a distance of about 700 km, because as many as 3 of them lead through our region.

To Olivia by bike

There are as many as 851 kilometers of bicycle routes in Gdansk. So it’s easy to ride to Olivia on your own two-wheeler. And you have a lot of cycling facilities with us. Dozens of bicycle racks are located inside the garage halls of our office buildings and outside Olivia – these can be seen on the attached map.

 

 

In addition, we have two bicycle repair stations in Olivia:

  • at the Olivia Six building;
  • at Olivia Point.

 

What else? Bicycle lockers in the My Olivia!

 

To make life and work better for those who come to work on a bike, it is possible to rent bicycle lockers in the My Olivia application. It takes a few moments. And you can rent such a cabinet with access to the shower even for the whole year. It’s very easy! How to do it?

 

  • Download My Olivia from the App Store or Google Play (if you don’t already have it)
  • Click on the BIKE icon in the app
  • Go through everything STEP BY STEP (takes a minute or two).

 

What are your options?

  • cabinet in the garage hall;
  • cupboard in the garage hall (with shower);
  • locker in the bicycle locker room (with shower).

 

How long can you rent a bike locker for?

  • 90 days
  • 180 days
  • 360 days

 

How much does it cost?

  • locker in the garage hall – PLN 30 for 90 days,
  • locker in the garage hall, with access to a shower – PLN 60 for 90 days,
  • locker in the bicycle locker room (with access to a shower) – 90 PLN for 90 days.

 

How to do it? Step by step.

  1. You choose the building where you WANT to have a locker.
  2. You choose a service (e.g. a locker in a garage hall).
  3. You indicate how long you want to rent it for (90, 180, 360 days) and click “next”.
  4. You check if the order is correct.
  5. If you want to receive an invoice, tick the “Invoice” checkbox.
  6. You pay for everything and rent a locker.

You will receive a confirmation of your purchase with the e-mail address you provided when registering in the My Olivia application.

We have two working days to complete all the formalities and contact you to issue you with the locker key. That’s it:)

 


	


	





	

		
Speednet with the Olivia Centre Cup!

It was two days of great emotions. Over 100 players from 13 teams competed in the 1st Volleyball Tournament for the Olivia Cup. They were fast and tireless! They overcame fatigue and weakness. In the end, Speednet and PwC faced off in the grand finale! Won…  Speednet, defeating their rival in two sets (2:0). Silver in the hands of PwC. The third place on the podium was taken by the Bayer team, who fought with the team from Sii in the semi-finals. The MVP of the tournament was Grzegorz from Speednet, playing (really like a lion) with the number 3.  


 


Olivia made it to the quarterfinals. We were eliminated only after a fierce battle with the already mentioned Bayer.

Our suggestions for the summer!

It will be short but concise. We are starting with summer activities. We invite you to cruises to the sunset: every Wednesday and to beach volleyball classes every Thursday.


 


Sailing


We live by the sea, so we can’t help but sail!  We invite you every Wednesday for a cruise on the Bay of Gdansk.  Into the sunset. Olivia is on a roll:) We invite all intrepid – beginners and experienced. Those who want to enjoy the summer to the fullest. Taking part in a cruise does not require sailing experience, but it is possible to gain it and catch the bug for an activity that can change your life!


    

  • Sunset cruise.

  • We start from the most beautiful marina in Poland, located at the end of the Sopot pier. This is also where we end our cruise.
    • 

  • We depart at 18:00
    • 

  • We return at 20:00  
    • 



 


Volleyball


It’s also time for beach volleyball! We invite you every Thursday to the beach volleyball court at Olivia Park! Ahead of you is a training session during which everyone will find something for themselves.


    

  • Classes are held on a full-size sports field.
    • 

  • The first class runs from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
    • 

  • The next group sees each other from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m
    • 

  • During the training, we will learn the classic for this discipline batting in teams of two, bounce techniques, positioning and communication.
    • 

  • Each participant will have the opportunity to learn or practice moves typical only for beach volleyball.
    • 

  • Everything will always end with a match game.
    •

Whoever loves winter and the sea, short and long journeys, unforgettable views and excellent company simply must take part in this event. We invite you to a unique, winter sailing with Olivia Yacht Club.


    

  • What counts is willingness, good mood and wind (of course!)

  • We invite all intrepid people – beginners and experienced.

  • Those who are simply driven by the winter weather and want to do unique things.
    • 

  • Taking part in a cruise does not require sailing experience, but it is possible to gain it and catch the bug for an activity that can change your life!

There are two suggestions for cruises on the Bay of Gdansk:


    

  • TRIP TO HEL: Marina Sopot – Hel – Sunday 27.02, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (150 PLN, we sail with a minimum of 4 people)

  • INTO THE SUNSET: Sopot – Sopot: 27.02, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (50 PLN)

What to take (apart from a good mood)?


    

  • Hats, gloves, and a winter jacket are all items of clothing that are worth having on the water. A storm jacket or other clothing that protects against wind or frost – great! It’s better not to take advantage of the big winter hat;) than to feel its absence. (Holidays are coming to an end, but a ski outfit can come in handy
    • 

  • Below deck there is space not only to leave things, but also to warm up and enjoy coffee or tea.
    • 

  • Boots – sporty, with a white sole (we recommend ski socks, what about them?)

With My Olivia you can rent a BICYCLE LOCKER  from THIS SPRING.It’s easy!


    

  1. Download My Olivia from the App Store or Google Play (if you don’t already have it)

I Volleyball Tournament for the Olivia Centre Cup!

This has never been done before! The first Volleyball Tournament for the Olivia Centre Cup is ahead of us. We invite you to cheer for us! And there is a lot of it! m.in will be in the running. Bayer, Aspire, Sii, PwC, Speednet, Nike and Ricoh…


 


On May 14 and 15, 14 teams will compete in the 1st Volleyball Tournament for the Olivia Centre Cup!  For two days, more than 100 players will fight for places on the podium, who – preparing for the event – have already played over a dozen sparring matches. They also trained with enthusiasm under the watchful eye of master Piotr Ilewicz, who knows everything about volleyball! Piotr has been involved in this sport for over 18 years, he played m.in. in leagues in Germany and Portugal. As a “boy from the seaside” he also plays beach volleyball (fun fact). He has won 3rd place in the World Cup, the European Academic Championship and a bronze medal in the Polish Cup. The teams are therefore optimally prepared for the competition, which they will present during the championship in a moment. WE INVITE YOU TO CHEER FOR US! See you on May 14 and 15 at the MUG Sports Center in Gdansk, ul. M. Skłodowska-Curie 3a, Gdansk.
