The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has for the 3rd time granted Poland the right to organise an equestrian competition in the topmost 5-star class. Between 8 and 11 June, almost 100 riders from around the world will compete at the Hippodrome Sopot Equestrian Centre. Olivia Business Centre is an official partner of CSIO5* Sopot 2017.
The Official International Showjumping Competition CSIO5* Sopot 2017 promises a unique atmosphere and unforgettable experience. Equestrian lovers are in for a genuine 4-day feast. The showjumping rivalry will showcase the absolute crème de la crème of this discipline.
The best showjumping athletes will present their skills to spectators in 11 competitions. Like each year, the FEI Nations CupTM for the LOTTO prize should be particularly thrilling, with teams of four competing on a 1.5 m obstacle course. The four-day event will culminate with Sunday’s Grand Prix for the Cup of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.
The class of the competition is undeniable. Thanks to the support of the city of Sopot, General Partner – LOTTO and a number of sponsors, including Olivia Business Centre, the pool of prizes for the competitors amounts to PLN 1,620,000. A competition of that calibre is bound to guarantee a thrilling and captivating experience for all spectators. On the masts around the Sopot race course we’ll see the flags of Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the UK, Hungary, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Russia, the Netherlands, Poland and USA – whose team includes Laura Kraut, currently 17th in the ranking of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). Among the many distinctions won by this amazing jockey is a gold medal from the Beijing Olympic Games.
CSIO5* is not just about high prizes and sport with a capital ‘S’. The event will also include various shows and additional activities for spectators, turning this June weekend into a truly memorable event. Between subsequent competitions, the arena will host genuine lancers, a horse archer and Blanka Satora with her astounding show. To further mark this wonderful celebration of sports, the organizers decided to repeat last year’s attraction, inviting Polish Olympic medallists to the Sopot race course. Athletes will be able to meet their fans, give autographs and enjoy the equestrian competition at CSIO5*. The following champions have already confirmed their participation: Paweł Nastula, Michał Jeleński, Jerzy Rybicki, Dariusz Goździak, Edward Skorek, Wojciech Fortuna, Lech Koziejowski, Andrzej Wroński, Leszek Blanik, Adam Korol, and Ryszard Wolny – with other names to follow.
Good luck to all the athletes!
