Olivia Business Centre is the Best Partner of the 2016 Gdańsk Labour Office

At the end of January, the Employment Services Employee Day was solemnly celebrated in Gdańsk. The history of labour offices in Poland is 98 years old. The tradition of functioning of institutions statutorily dealing with professional intermediation dates back to 1919, when Marshal Piłsudski signed a decree on the organization of state employment offices and care for emigrants.

The Employment Services Worker’s Day was celebrated this year at the Shakespeare Theatre. The commemorative conference on 26 January was attended by m.in. representatives of local authorities, employers’ organisations and employees of the Gdańsk Labour Office.

The title of the Best Partner of GUP 2016 was awarded to Olivia Business Centre. The award was presented by President Andrzej Bojanowski to Maciej Grabski, President of OBC.

Roland Budnik, Director of the Gdańsk Labour Office, summed up the past year, paying particular attention to two projects launched in cooperation with Olivia Business Centre – Talent Development Centre and Gdańsk Labour Office – Job Office.

The past twelve months have been a period of really hard work. Launch of the Talent Development Centre, the Department of Employment of Foreigners or Gdańsk Labour Office – Job Office are just three examples of activities that we have managed to carry out together. Particularly noteworthy is also our activity in the field of professional activation. We have achieved one of the highest employment and cost efficiency in the country, for which I would like to thank our employees and our long-term partners “Employers of Pomerania and the authorities of Gdańsk and the Gdańsk District,” said Roland Budnik, Director of the Gdańsk Labour Office, during the ceremony.
