In order to collect funds for the Pomeranian Hospice for Children, Jake Jephcott, director for business development at the Olivia Business Centre, along with Pierre-Olivier Monteil, Studio Manager at Playsoft, decided to cover almost 136 kilometres on foot. They intend to challenge each other as well as the weather conditions, stay in the open air for the nights and, additionally, carry all their equipment on their backs, as suited for such trekking expedition. The route of the “Snow Beach Trek” runs along the seaside – from Rowy to Hel.
“I hope to cover the distance within a few days – obviously much is up to the weather conditions. I expect it to be ice cold” – laughs Jake Jephcott.
1 kilometre of the march is equivalent to 1 zloty. We can multiply the kilometres in the action. Voluntary contributions for the Pomeranian Hospice for Children, in any amounts, may be made directly to the bank account of the institution, by typing in the title: Snow Beach Trek.
The Foundation Pomeranian Hospice for Children was set up in 2008. It exists thanks to the generosity of people with great hearts – individuals, companies and institutions – who care about the fate of seriously sick children. The Foundation provides medical, nursing, psychological and social care. Parents do not incur any costs related to the care of their children and, in emergency situations, they may count on the Foundation, including the necessary financial support.
