The first Tri-City LinkedIn Local meeting heralds a milestone in turning virtual acquaintances into new professional and business relationships. Their base will be the region and the LinkedIn application. Piotr Ostromęcki, co-creator of the ErBis application, talks about the support that will soon change the face of networking.

Any surprise during LinkedIn Local?

On September 13th, I will present the ErBiz application. Thanks to it, we are able to change the form of networking during business meetings. Simple and intuitive, it will prove useful at trade fairs, conferences and meetings such as Linkedin Local.

How?

We combine LinkedIn and the Tinder app – both well-known and eagerly used. In real time, the application collects the data of event participants, including information about the company, professional experience, position and skills, and uses an algorithm to propose contact to the people present according to the match to the business profile.

What will it help you with the most?

It will allow you to contact all participants. I am convinced that it will become a facilitation, especially since traditional methods are usually blocked by time. During the conference, we have a 15-minute coffee break and networking consists of approaching one person to another, being told that this is not our business goal. The break ends, the effects are average. Traditional blazer pins at a conference or event don’t help. On the other hand, during the lecture we have no chance to check who is sitting with us in the room.

Are you the originator?

Yes, and I’m sure it’s a game-changer and a great improvement in business opportunities. It will take networking to a whole new level.

Since when has it been in use?

The app is in the testing phase. We have an MVP version that we will be testing thanks to LinkedIn Local. If they turn out to be successful, we will try to interest our business partners in it, starting with the target product by the end of the year.
