thyssenkrupp intends to have taken on eighty IT specialists by the end of the year. The new tenth floor office space in the Olivia Six building will be for the specialists and managers of the newly formed team.
thyssenkrupp is a world leader in advanced industrial technologies; it delivers components to such sectors as automotive, aviation and maritime. Furthermore, it manufactures cranes and lifts as well as industrial equipment for special applications. In total, the company employs over 160,000 people around the world. The Gdańsk centre provides services for more than 1,500 companies in the thyssenkrupp group all over the world.
At present, the company employs over 100 people in Gdańsk who work mainly in IT, Finance and Accounting, HR and Property Management Divisions. The Gdańsk centre continues to develop its services department. The new offices will be occupied by system and application administrators, SAP software specialists, IT infrastructure engineers, IT processes support specialists and project teams. thyssenkrupp is looking for qualified professionals in these areas and those who would want to improve their skills and obtain attractive new qualifications. The condition is a good command of English. The command of German would be an advantage; besides, the company offers specialist language courses for its employees. In addition, it assists in employee development by offering training and the opportunity to pursue certificates as well as practical learning through work with experienced professionals from Germany, the US and other countries. Future employees may also expect training programmes in the technologies, processes and IT solutions the company uses.
Within the next few years, thyssenkrupp plans to employ 700 people in Gdańsk.

Since its early days, the project has been supported by the Invest in Pomerania initiative, in particular by the Pomerania Development Agency and the Gdańsk Economic Development Agency (INVESTGDA).
