Today is the Day of the Polish Forget-me-not:)

Remember your loved ones. Be cordial and… meet someone you haven’t seen for a long time:)

We have been celebrating the Polish Forget-me-not Day for several years, on May 15th:) It’s a special day. It reminds us of how amazing and diverse Polish nature is and that we need to take care of it and protect it. But that’s not all! “The Forget-me-not” invites us to be extremely mindful… So let’s recall important and special moments, places, events… And above all, the people who bring so much into our lives every day. Maybe it’s been a long time since you called your Mom, Aunt Krysia or friend Basia? Do it! And meet someone you haven’t seen for a long time!

Forget-me-not

  • it is not always blue:), its white variety is also known, and sometimes it is also pink;
  • indeed, he likes to “grow by the creek”;
  • It can be found on many continents;
  • To enjoy forget-me-nots on its day, we should sow it in March (advice for next year!).

How can forget-me-nots help us?

  • it will work as a basis for making a tincture helpful in persistent cough, bronchitis, laryngitis, and pharyngitis;
  • A forget-me-not bath is also recommended for healthy sleep;
  • You can also use forget-me-nots as a compress for tired eyes.

The originator of the Polish Forget-me-not Day is Andrzej Zalewski, the host of Ekoradio in the program I of the Polish Radio. The first celebration of this day took place in 2002.

THEREFORE… Call Mom, Sister, Grandma, Uncle, Grandpa! Drop by a long-lost buddy. Invite your neighbor for tea:)
